The Engineering Department provides information on NPDES and FEMA related inquiries.  The City Engineering Department maintains Flood Insurance Rate Maps and the Flood Insurance Study.  The City of Sycamore has been admitted into FEMA's Community Rating System at a level 7.  This means any resident that is required to hold a flood insurance policy can receive a 15% discount at the time of their renewal.  This is in effect as of May 1, 2012. Additionally standard rated flood insurance policies in Zones B,C,X,D,AR, and A99 are eligible for a 5% discount.  If you have questions, please contact your insurance agent or the Engineering Department.
