The City Engineering Department is responsible for the design and construction of infrastructure improvements.  These improvements include construction of the second water tower and other water distribution system improvements, street rehabilitation and maintenance projects, and the expansion of the waste water treatment plant.  The Engineering Department also provides information on NPDES and FEMA related inquiries.  The City Engineering Department maintains Flood Insurance Rate Maps and the Flood Insurance Study.  Any floodplain related questions can be answered by the City Engineer who can be contacted at 815.895.4557.
