As of January 1, 2012, residents in the State of Illinois are prohibited from disposing of electronic devices in a manner that will result in the device being placed in a landfill.  However, many recycling/reusing programs are available to consumers to assist them in discarding their unwanted electronics.

The City of Sycamore has partnered with DeKalb County, the City of DeKalb, and Northern Illinois University to provide regular electronics recycling opportunities at convenient locations in the DeKalb-Sycamore area.  For a list of recycling dates and locations, please click here.
