Several Local Organizations Provide The City With A Variety Of Events!

Sycamore has gained widespread fame for its unique Pumpkin Festival, conducted the last full weekend in October.

The annual event began in 1956 when local resident Wally Thurow displayed a few decorated pumpkins on his front lawn.

The Pumpkin Festival features a pancake breakfast, carnival, food booths run by local-not-for-profit organizations and a huge Pumpkin Parade that draws hundreds of thousands of spectators to our community.

In every respect, Sycamore offers all around family fun.
