· Kick-off luncheon will be Wednesday, October 20th – 11AM
· Center will be open for activities on Monday, October 25th – 9am – 3pm
· No charge for the lunch but reservations are needed to make sure there is enough food

· Transportation – Voluntary Action Center has agreed to provide door-to-door transportation
· This transportation will be available for the lunch and ALL days that the center is open
· Those interested in rides for the luncheon should call VAC starting on Thurs. (Oct 14)

· Lunch will also be served daily – by VAC sometimes and by the park district sometimes
· Lunch reservations need to be called in by 9am the day before
· Suggested donation for the meals is the same ($3.50) as all other senior center sites
· For those 60+ no charge for the door/door rides but a suggested donation of $1.50 is suggested
· Already have several activities planned – NIU student nurses every Wed. starting next semester
· A history of Sycamore presentation on 10/25; Flu shots available 10/27; Halloween party on 10/29
· Ask those interested in certain activities to visit the center to help us make up the weekly schedule
· Schnucks now provides breads and bakery goods for existing centers each Friday – will do the same for Sycamore. Folks can take home these items and some are served for afternoon snacks
